Waterstones Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell sketches Francesca’s hair!

When Francesca took part in the 500 Words award ceremony at The Globe Theatre she met up with the Waterstones Children’s Laureate. Chris took the chance to capture Francesca’s hair on his sketchpad. He even gave it a caption, ‘Francesca Simon’s Expressive Hair’!

Francesca celebrated the launch of her new book The Monstrous Child with many of her friends and family recently including Steven Butler, Amanda Craig, Cressida Cowell, Meg Rosoff and Dame Jacqueline Wilson.
