The Lost Gods is longlisted for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize

LostGodsPBThe Lost Gods is one of eight titles longlisted for the 2014 Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize. The judging panel is chaired by Julia Eccleshare, Children’s Books Editor for the Guardian, and fellow children’s writers Gillian Cross, Frank Cottrell Boyce and Katherine Rundell. It is the only prize of its kind judged by fellow writers. The judges commented on The Lost Gods:

Behind the excellent jokes lies a serious commentary on social attitudes and values of the 21st century.”

The shortlist for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize will be announced in August, and the winner on 13 November.
