Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend Published 2006

I know absolutely nothing about football, so this was a tough story to write. But I’d received so many letters from children begging me to write a football story that in the end I gave in.

So I read the sports pages and watched a few matches and I still didn’t understand what was going on. Then I thought, “I could write a story about cheating at football,” and that saved me. And of course, my husband and son pointing out that opposing teams do not share the same goal.
